Requirement

The FCO engaged Prōject to perform an Oracle Financials Applications health check paying specific attention to the Internet Expenses and Cash Management application modules. Prōject was to review the existing configuration and assess any improvements and/or enhancements that could be made to the applications using standard functionality including:

  • An increased awareness of the current configuration
  • An assessment and recommendation of underutilised functionality
  • An awareness of best practice related to the use of functionality
  • Realisation of all business benefits expected from the implementation
  • Areas of identification to realise full use and efficiency from the applications
  • Alignment of business processes and requirements to application configuration

Solution

During the health check engagement, Prōject delivered the following solutions and benefits to the FCO during Orientation, Discovery, Gap Analysis and Reporting stages:

  • Workshops and interviews with key stakeholders including finance and reporting staff, application users, super users and business support personnel
  • Detailed review of the existing iExpenses and Cash Management application configuration
  • Review of existing ERP/Systems framework, implementation approach and methodology
  • Submission of a formal report identifying 39 individual areas of configuration and process improvements to address pain points and inefficiencies for Internet Expenses and 20 identified areas for Cash Management
  • Identification of numerous quick win application configuration changes
  • Alignment of all existing application configuration and use to business requirements
  • Application road map strategy for short, medium and long term efficiency
  • Solution design related to current issues identified by the business prior to the engagement covering both applications and EBS integration points
