Course objectives:
- Familiarisation with the Oracle Business Intelligence Applications
- Create basic reports and dashboards using Oracle Business Intelligence Applications
Course topics:
- Introduction to Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE) and the Oracle Business Intelligence Applications (OBIA), including:-
- The high level architecture of OBIEE, OBIA and differences between software versions
- The value proposition of Oracle’s BI Applications and the benefits of the “model centric” approach
- Positioning BI Applications within the business
- Overview of the pre-packaged subject areas, reports and dashboards provided by Primavera Analytics
- Hands on session to create reports and dashboards utilising content from Primavera Analytics
Delegates will learn to:
- Describe what the Oracle BI Applications are, the value they add to Enterprise Resource Planning systems such as the Oracle E-Business Suite, and how they should be positioned within the business
- Describe the out of the box content available for the Analytics application
- Create a basic interactive BI analysis (report) with various graphical output formats e.g. charts, tables, and pivot tables
- Publish an analysis to a dashboard, and add prompts to filter the results
