E-Business Suite Applications and Integration Fundamentals

Course objectives:

  • Provide an overview of the R12 Oracle Applications general framework, navigation and structure
  • Provide an overview of the core applications featured within the BI Analytic Applications, paying attention to key concepts, features and transactions
  • Provide a high level overview of additional mainstream E-Business Suite applications
  • Explain integration points between all discussed E-Business Suite Applications
  • Describe the key business flows between/among applications within the E-Business Suite
  • Identify key Oracle related data automation tools

Course topics:

  • Understanding of major architectural components in R12 Oracle E-Business Suite with comparable differences to R11i where relevant
  • Understanding of general E-Business Suite navigation and application forms/html pages
  • Introduction to Accounting Manager within R12
  • Introduction to Multiple-Organisation and Multiple- Organisation Access control (MOAC) and Ledger Security
  • Concepts of ledgers, chart of accounts, calendars and currencies
  • Introduction to Flexfields fundamentals
  • Introduction and understanding of basic system administration concepts
  • Overview of the following Oracle applications when considering BI Analytic applications:
    • Oracle General Ledger (GL)
    • Oracle Accounts Payable (AP)
    • Internet Expenses (OIE)
    • Oracle Accounts Receivable (AR)
    • Oracle Purchasing (PO)
    • IProcurement (IProc)
    • Human Resources (HR)
    • Project Costing (PJC)
    • Project Billing (PJB)
  • High level overview of other mainstream applications including: Advanced Collections (IEX), Cash Management (CE), Treasury (XTR), Fixed Assets (FA), Order Management (OM), Inventory (INV), iSupplier (POS), Sourcing (PON), Enterprise Asset Management (EAM), Project Management (PJT), Project Resource Management (PJR), Oracle Time and Labor (OTL), Payments, E-Business Suite Tax (ZX), Manufacturing (MFG), and Payroll (PAY).
  • Explanation of basic workflow concepts
  • Understand different reporting options and standard SRS operational and transactional reporting.

Delegates will learn to:

  • Understand access, general navigation and application framework concepts
  • Understand key concepts from the core applications of the Oracle E-Business Suite
  • Understand product families and additional applications modules
  • Understand application integration points of the E-Business Suite
  • Understand the key business process flows of the E-Business Suite
